This reaction is called total oxidation. Mainly\nprecious metals like platinum and palladium are used as active components along\nwith special promoters and binders which are added to maximize catalytic\nactivity and durability. Oxides with very high surface area are used to support\nthe precious metals and together, these materials are coated onto different\ntypes of ceramic or metallic substrates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\noxidation catalysts from INTERKAT are designed for high efficiency and a long\nlifetime regarding thermal aging, poisoning or deactivation by ash to reduce\nthe required amount of expensive precious metals.
